I look forward to seeing more change to come. I left the Obagi product line about a year ago with advice from a esthetician and started using her suggested product line. Although I find the esthetician very sweet I have resumed using Obagi. I took my own before and after pictures and am very happy to be using Obagi again! My freckles and other discolorations are diminishing and my fine lines are less visible.
My only wish is for these products to be less expensive. The previous Obagi Clear with Hydroquinone was more effective in fading dark spots. This new formula took over 5 weeks to see results that used to take a week with the Hydroquinone formula.
But, it works well enough…. I noticed a difference when I ran out so I purchased it again and my skin is thanking me :. This is a fantastic product that anyone who has issues with hyperpigmentation, dark spots, discoloration and liver spots whichever way you call it. It really works, but, provided that you do not expect this to happen overnight because this is a hydroquinone-free formula and therefore it can take up to 2 to 3 months to see positive results depending on the severity of how one takes care of their skin.
Of course, it did make me skin red but not itchy. It also made my skin peel but try not to remove the "scale", just let it fall off by itself. After finished the set, I switched on to hydroquinone-free formula for maintenance.
If you wish and can afford it, get 4 as an exfoliator as well. I always receive compliments on my skin even though I occasionally smoke and drink in addition to deprivation of sleep periodically. Exercise regularly brisk walking is good too. I know it is easier said than done but if you want to maintain a good shape and have a great skin you just got to make sacrifices.

I have malasma and sun spots that are very noticeable. I have been VERY pleased with the results after approximately 6 weeks of regular use. Skin is definitely more even, although very pale. I can deal with that as I can now wear makeup without my whole face appearing splotchy. Great product! I love this product. I have been using it for about 6 months and have seen good results, wouldn't think of stopping now. It is lightweight, non-greasy, and absorbs quickly.
I mix it with a tretinoin cream and apply nightly. My dermatologist recommended 3, 4 and 5 in this system to help with my aging spots - I use all three nightly and my skin is smooth and hydrated. I'm not entirely sure if it's lightening the dark spots but overall I'm happy. Been using this line for over a year. I use this as well as 4 and 5 in the line - my dermatologist recommended it for sun damage.
So far no complaints - goes on well and the bottles last quite a while - a little goes a long way! I did not see a change in dark spots, but this product did not bother my sensitive skin.
